Moving company SEO

Moving company SEO starts with the questions customers ask before they call a mover: rules, permits, age limits and prices. On the mobile home moving site we built, the rules pages were the most-seen in its first week, and a town page got the first call-button tap on day 4. It's a custom quote with a monthly option.

What to build

Moving searches worth a page

  • Price pages by size and distance. People want a number before they call.
  • Rules pages for each state you move in: permits, age limits, escorts.
  • Town and route pages. “Movers in Marion” is a different search from “movers in Asheville.”
  • Call tracking on every call button, so you know which page rang the phone.

Mover site number two

Launching 191 pages in steps

When Asheville Modular and Mobile Home Services went live on Oct. 28, 2026, 91 pages went to Google on day one. The other 100 open in three batches a week apart, while a daily check watches the site's Google impressions and holds the next batch if they drop sharply, so the site builds a track record before it asks Google to take in a lot of new pages at once.

Black Bear's most-seen pages in Google were its rules pages, so the county permit guides are in the first batch. More towns, price guides and the age-limit page follow on Nov. 4, 11 and 18.

Source: avlmobilehomes.com on launch day, Oct. 28, 2026: 191 pages live, 91 in the sitemap. It's too new for Google numbers; we'll publish them here as they come in.

Questions

Common questions

Do movers really need rules pages?

They're what nervous customers read first. On Black Bear's site, the NC age limit and NC moving laws pages were the most-seen in Google.

Can one site cover two states?

Yes. Black Bear's covers North and South Carolina, with rules pages for each.

What does it cost?

A custom quote with a monthly option. A regular moving company website is $1,000 to $1,500: see moving company website design.
